For the weekend of the State Tournament we have a block of rooms being held at the Sheraton Minneapolis West for Friday May 30 and Saturday May 31. This is the same hotel we stayed at last year. They have a limited number of Doubles available right now but expect more to open up. They also have a rate for a King, which can take a roll away but you must request the roll away in the special request box if booking on line; and a King suite with a sofa sleeper. If we run out of doubles they will convert Kings to Doubles if desired just make a note in the special section if booking on line or confirm with the agent if booking by phone.
The rates are $119/night for 2 Queens-sleeps 4 or a King with roll a way-sleep 3; $149/night for a King suite with sofa sleeper-sleeps 4. These rates include 4 breakfast coupons/night, this is not listed on line but is included. Ask for coupons when checking in.

The Duluth Nighthawks is girls club lacrosse team composed of student athletes from Duluth, Marshall,
Hermantown and neighboring schools. The club fields both a varsity and JV team and is open all girls from grades 7 to 12. Indoor practices begin in March and outdoor practices and home games are played at Duluth Public School Stadium.

To be eligible to play you must register through USA lacrosse AND the Duluth Nighthawks. To begin the registration process, please click on REGISTER NOW or go to the left hand column and click register on line. This link will take you to USA Lacrosse registration site. Please note that minors will need to provide parent or guardian information to register. There is a $35 fee to register with USA lacrosse.
There is an additional $300 fee to register with the Duluth Nighthawks to cover coach's salary, field rental and officials fees. There are no fund raising activities scheduled for the remainder of the year however there are a limited number of reduced registrations (no more than 50%) available. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, please ask a board member for details.
Goalies will be responsible for providing their own equipment this year. However, to defray the cost of the additional equipment, all goalies in good standing at the end of the year will be eligible for 50% refund of their registration fee.
Players are required to provide their own sticks, goggles and skorts. As with any sport, the cost of these items can vary tremendously, however a good starter package should run $100 to $150. Please contact the coaches if you have any questions on equipment.
